    For the Cashew Vanilla Cream:

    Cashews (काजू): ½ cup (75 g or 2.6 oz), soaked 4 hours

    Soaked Raisins or Date Paste (किशमिश / खजूर पेस्ट): 2 tbsp

METHOD OF PREPARATION

Utensil Choice: Use a ceramic or glass mixing bowl for freshness. Wooden utensils maintain sattvic energy and prevent metal reactions with citrus.

Poaching the Pears:

  1. In a pot, bring 2 cups water to a gentle simmer. Add saffron strands, cardamom pods, and date syrup. Stir.

  2. Place the peeled and halved pears into the pot, cut side down. Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes until tender but not mushy.

  3. Turn off the heat and let the pears soak in the warm spiced water while preparing the cream.

Preparing the Cashew Vanilla Cream:

  1. Blend soaked cashews with ½ cup water, vanilla, cardamom, and sweetener until silky smooth.

  2. If desired, chill slightly before serving for a cooling touch.

Assembly:

  1. Plate each pear half and drizzle generously with saffron poaching syrup.

  2. Spoon cashew vanilla cream over or alongside the pears.

  3. Garnish with a few saffron strands or crushed pistachios (optional).
